Als wir den Hafen von Valparaiso erreichten, lagen wir dort schwer bewacht, bis wir uns mit dem Bus auf die Reise nach Santiago de Chile machten….
….vorbei an wüstenähnlichen Gebieten….
….bis die Gegend fruchtbar wurde….
…und wir an riesigen Weinbaugebieten vorbei kamen.
In Santiago wechseln schöne Häuser…
….Villen…
….und Strassenmärkte…
mit Baustellen und Bürotürmen!
Der Fluss bringt das Wasser von den nahegelegenen Anden und kann uns nicht begeistern…
….jedoch sind es die Bewohner von ihrer Trabrennbahn…
…und schon etwas seltener von ihrem Präsidentenpalast.
Uns begeistert aber der Hauptplatz….
…wo die Kinder im Springbrunnen baden….
…die berittene Polizei ihre Pferde tränkt und auch sonst alle sehr entspannt wirken!
Am Hauptplatz gibt es übrigens eine wunderschöne Kathedrale, welche ich aber zur Abwechslung nur als Spiegelung im der benachbarten Bank zeigen möchte (weil mir dieser Blick so gefallen hat)…
…aber nicht nur mir, auch den Chilenen gefällt skurrile Kunst!
